If there is one thing we have all learned during the past two years it’s that life can change dramatically. But by now, we are also noticing that things can return to normal.
And at the forefront are people like Kelly Overgard who are instilling confidence in clients and leading the way for them to make smart financial decisions.
Kelly heads up the Kevnik Branch in Prior Lake with her 36 years’ experience in the mortgage industry. Despite the fluctuations in this field, she remains steadfast in her knowledge, which is shared through her positive and energetic personality.
“Homeownership is still the best dream to come true and it builds stronger communities,” she said. “Focusing on my clients and the community is what fuels my passion.”
The resulting changes over the past couple of years have reinforced Kelly’s primary ways of helping people through communication and connection. She knows the value of making sure borrowers understand the various changes and offers in the market.
“I love to educate people and believe that the more they know, the better they will be able to secure the right home loan,” she said. “My job is to guide the client on that journey.”
Right now, as the world is tipping toward normal again, there is a greater need for people to reach out to a mortgage expert like Kelly Overgard to help them navigate the changing landscape on their behalf.
Kelly’s success and influence in this field recently had a personal and positive result.
“My son, Alex, who worked alongside me as a Mortgage Loan Officer moved to the operations side of my team,” she said. “His new position brings expanded responsibilities, but his goal of helping clients make smart mortgage decisions remains the same.”
As a mom, Kelly is proud of her son and knows that his experience combined with his knowledge of technology will make excellent client experiences. And since Alex was born and raised in the mortgage industry and had Kelly as a mentor, it’s safe to say that his success is, in some part, because of the knowledge and expertise that he gained from his mom.
Today, Kelly’s team in Prior Lake includes Nikki and Kevin Erickson and together, they all share a positive outlook.
“Kelly has been a long-time friend to us, and we love having her on our team,” said Nikki. “We recognized her passion for helping borrowers navigate the biggest purchase of their lives right away and we are blessed to have her and Alex at Kevnik Mortgage.”
